This notice describes browser storage on the Silver Owl Studio LLC marketing website, silverowl.dev, and its optional Journal reader-account pages, including protected review versions. It explains how you can control that storage. Separate applications and third-party services have their own session, security and storage requirements.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They allow a site to recognize your device and remember information between page loads or visits.
Cookies we use
Marketing website: Browsing this site does not require an account. Optional Journal reader sign-in is separate from a customer workspace. Separate Silver Owl applications describe their own session and security requirements.
Reader sign-in: When enabled, the sign-in options shown use the shared Silver Owl identity service through Supabase, with Google, Apple or an emailed link. Necessary cookies complete sign-in and maintain your session. On this HTTPS site, these cookies are host-only and marked HttpOnly, Secure and SameSite=Lax: they are limited to this site's hostname, unavailable to browser scripts and sent over HTTPS. They are not advertising or analytics cookies. Google and Apple apply their own privacy and cookie notices on their sign-in pages.
Local preferences: Your display preference may be saved in browser local storage. It is not required for basic browsing and can be cleared in your browser settings.
Analytics: The current marketing website does not load an analytics service or set analytics cookies.
No advertising cookies: We do not use advertising networks, retargeting pixels, or third-party behavioral tracking cookies on this site.
Third-party services
This site is hosted on Vercel. Contact enquiry processing is described in our Privacy Policy, including email delivery and optional customer-management integration. If you follow a link to Calendly, Discord or Telegram, that service's own privacy and cookie practices apply. We do not embed third-party social or advertising widgets on this site. Controlling cookies
You can view, delete, or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent some features from working. Most browsers provide instructions in their Help menu.
